25th July 2014 Windsurfing: Felixstowe Dip Wind Direction: ENE Wind Stength: 15kts Surf / Sea State: flat Air Temperature: warm Sea Temperature: warm Weather: warm Max Speed: 22.56 (knots - unless stated otherwise) Distance Covered: 11.42 (Nautical Miles - unless stated otherwise) Another 5 star session for me on the fluky wind which kicked in 3.30 - 6.30. Formula head Nick and Dave with 3 others made it a nice session - flat water blasting. Only trouble was wind with tide didn't allow for too much broad reaching unless you did the walk of shame. Big swell in the channel gave nice rides coming off them. Wind dropped a couple of times but I stayed out the hour + and powered up most times. Formulas went to landguard for a burn up. The North shoxs bottomed out a couple of times, near the swell at the marker buoy causing me to pooh thinking something was wrong Had loads of runs, but couldn't time the broad runs when the wind was strongest. Only dropped one gybe in a big no wind band out to sea. Finished off with sauna / steam and Jacuzzi ended a nice session, having missed yesterdays |
